After serving 20 years and retiring from the military, the owners of Audumbla Ranch "settled down" to produce the quality beef and land management practices that they'd want their own family to enjoy.
It's a mouth-full: "regenerative ranching," and it's deliciously better for the planet. At Audumbla, they take care to promote the restoration of soil and grasslands, enhance the biodiversity of their ecosystem, and minimize carbon.
Now, looking to extend their healthy eating and ranching philosophy to more customers, they came to Zoek to beef up their website with eCommerce enhancements and bit of professional-grade creativity.

Before the Website Redesign
What were some of the biggest issues or frustrations you had with your previous website?
Lara: I just wasn’t skilled enough to get the design I wanted to come to fruition. Also I know nothing about SEO checklists or how to make anything search worthy. It was very frustrating working with what limited knowledge I had.
How did your old website impact your business or brand perception?
I feel we just didn’t come across as clear or professional. Our mission statement wasn’t very clear and we had too much information in not the right places.
Did you ever receive negative feedback on your website from customers or colleagues? What did they say?
We received a lot of input that our website was not user friendly.
What made you realize it was time for a redesign?
After multiple attempts at fixing our website I just no longer knew what to do. I was at a loss. So I reached out for help.
The Website Redesign Process
What was it like working with the Zoek team during the redesign process?
At first I was very intimidated by the whole “professional” website design team. They
made it very simple and after talking with everyone in our Google Meets, I felt very
confident and reassured that they heard my vision and that this was the right path.
Did the team understand your vision and goals for the new site?
They hit the nail head on. I gave the reason and "why" behind our name of our ranch and they transformed it into our website.
How did it feel seeing the first version of your new website?
I felt truly seen and heard and excited to continue working with Zoek!
After the Redesign
What kind of feedback have you received since launching the new website?
We have received nothing but positive feedback from our new website. Everyone raves about it.
Have you noticed any improvements in customer engagement, inquiries, or perception since the redesign?
People have said that the ease and clear communication of the website really stands
out.
What has been the biggest difference between your old site and your new one?
The design truly emulates our background, our story, and our why.
Has your confidence in sending people to your website changed? How so?
I don’t feel like I have to explain to people that I created it by myself and make excuses for its faults. I have a confidence in it now!

How would you describe the new website in 3 words?
Clear, precise, creative.
If someone is on the fence about redesigning their website, what would you say to them?
It’s so worth it. Do it. Rely on the professionals because that’s what they do and it takes so much stress off of owning and running your own business.
What does this new website mean for your business going forward?
We now can grow to the capacity we want to because our website clearly demonstrates the essence of our business.
Would you recommend Zoek to other businesses? Why?
100% yes I would recommend Zoek. They have taken our small business and treated us like we were a “big” business. They always were quick to respond and truly heard us. Best decision we ever made.
